Get Involved – ARIDO’s Committees Are recruiting

ARIDO Ontario

Are you ready to play a more active role in shaping the future of ARIDO and the interior design profession in Ontario?

Our committees play a vital role in advancing ARIDO’s strategic priorities across both regulatory and non-regulatory areas, from strengthening professional standards and supporting the Registered Interior Designer qualification pathways, to enhancing member engagement, professional development, and industry connections.

Why Join a Committee?

  • Help drive forward important initiatives that support the profession and public interest
  • Lend your voice to the growth of the Association
  • Build connections, share your expertise, and contribute to the advancement of the profession
  • Collaborate with a diverse network of peers and industry professionals
  • Gain insight into ARIDO’s regulatory and non-regulatory work
  • Earn Continuing Education (CE) credits for your volunteer contribution (1 credit per year, up to 2 per cycle)

Committees meet virtually once a month (1–2 hours for a total of 8-16 hours over the committee cycle) and are chaired by an ARIDO Board member, with support from ARIDO staff across both regulatory and operational teams. Committee members may also be required to work on homework (outside of meetings up to 10-20 hours over the committee cycle).

Who Should Apply?

We are looking for a wide range of perspectives

  • ARIDO Members — Students, Interns, Registered, Educators, and Retired members are all encouraged to apply
  • Retired members: Stay involved and help mentor the next generation
  • Industry partners: Opportunities are available to participate in select non-regulatory committees, bringing valuable external insight to ARIDO’s work
