Join the GTA chapter for our 20th Annual Charity Golf Tournament this July! 

Fore! You are warmly invited for a fun-filled day at Richmond Hill Golf & Country Club for the 2023 GTA Chapter Charity Golf Tournament on Wednesday, July 12th! Not only will you get to show off your impressive golf skills, but you’ll also be supporting Indspire, our Charity for this year’s tournament.

Indspire is a national Indigenous registered charity that invests in the education of First Nations, Inuit and Métis people for the long term benefit of these individuals, their families and communities, and Canada. Proceeds of this year’s tournament will create a scholarship fund for Indigenous students pursuing degrees in Interior Design.

The day will begin with registration and breakfast, and will include lunch and a silent auction.

Last year’s golf tournament raised $25,000 for Rainbow Railroad, and we’re hoping to make this year’s event another hole-in-one!

GTA Scholarship Awarded in 2021

The GTA Chapter is delighted to announce we have awarded its annual ‘Your Brand Identity’ scholarship for 2021. Three students from ARIDO-recognized programs have been recognized as part of this year’s scholarship.

GTA Chapter Student Scholarship 2021: YOUR BRAND IDENTITY

The ARIDO GTA Chapter is pleased to offer our Student Scholarship again in 2021.

YOUR BRAND IDENTITY

This year’s scholarship will be awarded to the interior design student with the most unique and creative personal branding package. Students from the GTA Chapter from any ARIDO recognized program are invited to submit an application.

HOW TO SUBMIT: Submissions can include but are not limited to letterhead, resume, business card, brochure, portfolio. Submissions must be in a PDF format and MUST include the student’s ARIDO ID number.

The GTA Board members will review each submission and select the top three.

PRIZES:
First Prize: $1,000
Second Prize: $200
Third Prize: $100

Submission deadline: June 30, 2021

Winners will be announced on July 30, 2021

Call for Nominations for the position of GTA Chapter President-elect

In accordance with ARIDO’s Chapter By-laws (By-law No. 5), those Registered members in good standing who are interested in putting their name forward or who wish to nominate another Registered Member will require their nomination to be signed by the Nominee and seconded by two (2) other Registered members in good standing. Please click here for the nomination form.

Included with the nomination should be a short bio outlining the candidate’s practice and volunteer history. The candidate should also include a statement outlining why they wish to be considered for the President-elect of the Chapter Board of Directors. Please use this form. (MS Word file will download.)

President-elect term

President-elect will serve on the Chapter Board for a three-year term.
The first year as President-elect / Director of Communications
The second year as President
The third year as Past-President / Director of Programming

Any members submitting a nomination should do so by Friday, February 26, 2021.

Appointment of Secretary/Treasurer

The position of Secretary/Treasurer is appointed by the Chapter Board of Directors for a period of one year and may be re-appointed annually for no more than three consecutive years. The current Secretary/Treasurer position will be open for new appointment as of April 2021.

Registered members, in good standing, interested in this position should submit a short bio outlining a brief summary about themselves and their volunteer history. They should also include a statement outlining why they wish to be considered for the Chapter Board. Please use this form.
