Launch of ARIDO RIDA Assessment Field Testing

We are excited to announce the launch of ARIDO’s Registered Interior Designer Assessment (RIDA) field testing, approved by the executive committee on April 14, 2025. This assessment aims to provide a more inclusive and equitable way to evaluate the qualifications and skills of interior designers, meeting ARIDO’s examination requirement for registration as a Canadian alternative.

Intake Period for Cohort 1: May 12 to 23, 2025
Start Date for Cohort 1: June 2, 2025

Eligibility Criteria

Prospective candidates must meet the education requirements (CIDA-accredited BID program or Intern Competency Review System (ICRS)) and experience requirements (Interior Design Experience Requirement (IDER)) set by ARIDO, pay the assessment fee, and intend to use RIDA to meet the examination requirement for registration.
