Criteria

  • A Student Member is one who is enrolled in an interior design education program recognized by the Board.
  • A Student Member is not an Intern Member. The Act and the By-laws of the Association do not apply to Student Members except as specifically provided in these By-laws.

  • Student Members may use the designation “Student Member of the Association of Registered Interior Designers of Ontario” or “Student, ARIDO” after their name.
  • Access to mentorship opportunities by qualified interns and other membership categories
  • Opportunities to connect with your industry community by volunteering with ARIDO Student Career Xpress Committee, at ARIDO Communities, and special events.
  • Be future ready by attending Student Career Xpress Events: Portfolio Prep, Portfolio Review,
  • Have a voice at industry meetings and through surveys.
  • ARIDO’s monthly e-newsletter for up-to-date industry news
  • Networking Opportunities at both local and provincial events
  • Volunteer opportunities through task forces and committees, as well as participation in various events and seminars throughout the year
  • Access to ARIDO events and networking opportunities including the meet the president events
  • Discounts at ARIDO affiliated tradeshows and events where available.
  • Access to specials and deals through Perkopolis

Additional Information

  • Students outside of Ontario who are enrolled in a program accredited by the Council for Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA), may apply for membership at an annual cost of $25.00 CAD.
