Educator Registered Membership

Criteria

An Educator Registered Member is one who:

(a) was previously an ARIDO Registered member or has met the qualifications to be an ARIDO Registered Member
(b) is of good character and adheres to the Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics of the Association; and,
(c) is not engaged in the practice of Interior Design, but who is contractually engaged in full or part-time teaching or directing interior design programs in an interior design program recognized by the Board within the province of Ontario.

Ongoing Requirements

• Annual renewal of ARIDO membership
• Compliance with ARIDO’s Professional Development requirement for Educator Registered Members
• Adherence to the ARIDO Code of Ethics and Practice Standards

Benefits

• An Educator Registered Member may use the designation “Educator Reg, ARIDO” or “Educator Registered Member of the Association of Registered Interior Designers of Ontario” after their name, and shall not, in any way, modify such designation. These designations shall be used only in direct connection with the name of the individual Educator Registered Member.
• An Educator Registered Member shall be entitled to vote at Annual or Special Meetings of the Association.
• ARIDO’s monthly e-newsletter for up-to-date industry news
• Access to local networking and CEU events with the ARIDO Communities
• Opportunities to mentor student members
• Networking Opportunities at both local and provincial events
• Volunteer opportunities through task forces and committees, as well as participation in various events and seminars throughout the year

• Discounts at ARIDO affiliated tradeshows and events where available.
• Access to specials and deals through Perkopolis
• NOTE: A Registered Educator member cannot be practicing Interior Design while maintaining Educator status and they are NOT entitled to use the Interior Designer title after their name.
