Building on Our Progress
Throughout 2026, ARIDO expanded opportunities for members to connect, participate, and contribute through events, advocacy, and the continued development of our communities model.
Guided by The Bold Statement and ARIDO’s Strategic Plan, our Regulatory functions focus on credentialing, standards, professional development compliance, and professional conduct. Our Non-Regulatory functions support member engagement, continuing education, advocacy, and community-building.
Looking Ahead to 2027
ARIDO’s core organizational priority for 2027 is advancing the future Regulatory Model, including the legislative, policy, qualification, and implementation framework required to formally recognize qualified interior designers within Ontario’s regulated built environment.
Supporting priorities include:
- Continued offering of the Registered Interior Designer Assessment (RIDA), the examination alternative for qualification as a registered member
- Expanding public awareness campaigns
- Strengthening mentorship and registration pathways
- Advancing protected-title compliance
- Developing practical member resources
- Creating more opportunities for inclusive member engagement
