It’s time to renew your ARIDO membership!
2025 has been a remarkable year of growth and transformation for ARIDO. From impactful initiatives to meaningful events, we’ve made significant strides in supporting and advocating for our members. One of the highlights was the launch of our new Communities model, designed to foster deeper connections and engagement across the profession.
Guided by The Bold Statement, our work continues to be shaped by a clear and ambitious Strategic Plan. This philosophy drives everything we do and ensures we remain focused on advancing interior design in Ontario. This year also marked a significant organizational development: ARIDO’s operational structure was formally split into Regulatory and Non-Regulatory functions. This change ensures greater clarity, accountability, and efficiency in how we serve our members and fulfill our mandate.
- Regulatory functions focus on protecting the public interest through credentialing, standards, professional development compliance and professional conduct.
- Non-Regulatory functions support member engagement, continuing education content, advocacy, and community-building initiatives.
This split allows ARIDO to better align resources and efforts with our dual responsibilities ensuring public trust while empowering our members.
Looking ahead to 2026, ARIDO has an exciting year planned. Here are some of our key priorities:
- Continued implementation of the RIDA Examination Alternative field testing
- Promotion of the Credentials Matter public awareness campaign
- Continued collaboration with the OAA on the Direct Regulation Model
- Expansion of our mentorship platform
- Enhanced community outreach and inclusive engagement
- New scholarship opportunities for student members
- Registered member Recognition Program
- Scale up of the grassroots “Meet the president event”

To ensure ARIDO continues to provide strong support to our members across Ontario, the Board of Management has approved a modest 2.5% increase in membership dues for 2026. This adjustment reflects the rising costs currently affecting the country, including a consideration of the impact of tariffs on the industry, and is essential for maintaining the stability and quality of our services.
After reviewing multiple financial models, the Board determined that a 2.5% increase would sufficiently support ARIDO’s operational needs while remaining mindful of affordability for our members.
We understand that flexibility is important, which is why ARIDO offers a variety of payment options – annual, quarterly, semi-annual, or monthly installments. Choose the plan that best fits your budget and schedule.
Thank you for being part of ARIDO. Let’s continue building a stronger, more connected design community together.
