CEU Session #1: Documentation in Design (1 General Education Credit)
Description: Once we finish our studies and start our careers, we often end up focusing in a single area or task and don’t always get to use all the things we’ve been taught especially when it comes to construction documentation. This CEU will provide a review of the typical documents used in the construction industry and deciding which ones to use and when. Are they all necessary? Which documents are important for Interior Designers? How does documentation protect the project and you?

CEU Session #2: RFPs, Bids & Tenders-Securing the Project (1 General Education Credit)
Description: For many interior designers, the phrase “Request for Proposal” (RFP) induces an immediate headache. Thick stacks of legal jargon, rigid procurement guidelines, and competitive bidding processes can feel entirely counterintuitive to the creative spirit. However, mastering the world of RFPs, bids, and tenders is the ultimate key to unlocking lucrative commercial, institutional, and large-scale residential projects.

This 1-hour CEU demystifies the public and private procurement processes. We will strip away the bureaucratic confusion and break down the exact mechanisms of RFQs, RFPs, and public tenders. Designers will learn how to strategically evaluate opportunities (the “go/no-go” decision), decode what procurement officers are actually looking for, and structure a compelling, compliant bid that stands out without sacrificing profitability. Turn procurement from an administrative chore into your firm’s most powerful growth engine.

**In-person registration deadline is on June 24th.
**For virtual attendees, a Microsoft Teams link will be sent on June 25th.
