EAC Fundraising Event: The Designer Quest
Spots available! Join the Eastern ARIDO Community (formerly the Eastern Ontario Chapter) new summer team-based fundraising event to bring the community together for a morning of play: the Designer Quest!

Start + End Location: Teknion – Ottawa Showroom, 55 Metcalfe Street, Suite 420, Ottawa ON K1P 6L5
Part scavenger hunt, part race, teams use 5G-enabled iPads to find clues, answer questions and complete team challenges throughout downtown Ottawa to earn the most points possible to win prizes… and team glory!
Gather your team of five and get ready to take on four exciting design challenges. It’s a chance to make new design friends and catch up with colleagues all in support of a great local cause.
In addition to bringing the community together and raising funds to support this event, it will also be supporting the Ottawa Food Bank.
A preliminary mission of The Designer Quest is a team Meal Challenge to help fight against hunger in our community.
The Designer Quest Meal Challenge invites teams to assemble the highest number of complete, non-perishable, and nutritious meals—each including a protein, two fruits or vegetables, and a grain or carbohydrate— which will be donated to the Ottawa Food Bank.
There will be an award for the team that collects the highest number of complete meals.
Event Schedule
Arrival: 8:30 – 9:00
Quest Challenge Begins: 9:00 am – 11:30 am
Networking + Lunch: 11:30 am – 1:00 pm
Quest Guide:
- The active, outdoor part of the Quest runs for about 2.5 hours.
- Participants are advised to dress comfortably for the weather and wear comfortable shoes.
- Creative team names are welcome + team uniforms/dress code are invited – if the spirit moves you, wear your studio’s branded swag or create a unique visual identity that brings your group together and gets you in the mood to play!
- In the event of rain, the event will be held indoors and transformed into a virtual game format.
The Designer Quest will be delivered by TBMOQ, an award-winning event provider specializing in Serious Fun.
