We Hold Interior Designers To The Highest Standards

The title “Interior Designer” is protected in Ontario for a reason. It requires a commitment and passion to a rigorous path of education and training that is highly regarded. It holds a right to associate credentials to your title and to your work. And, that dedication doesn’t go unnoticed. Sure, there are shortcuts to everything in life; but with those shortcuts come shortcomings and consequences that will be realized and felt at some point. Any person in Ontario who chooses to use the designation Interior Designer or ARIDO without being a member is also choosing to practice illegally.

As an ARIDO member, we have your back and we support you in your growth as an Interior Designer. We are committed to protecting the industry and holding those accountable that take shortcuts. It’s a big undertaking, but as a community of Interior Designers, we will continue to band together to become a stronger force in the industry and to protect our profession and all the clients that rely on us and our talent.

Along with the pride that comes with being an ARIDO member, are all the benets and plethora of resources that only members get access to:

  • Professional recognition for Registered members through the ARIDO designation and the exclusive use of the title Interior Designer in the province of Ontario
  • Protection of the interior designer’s right to practice through ARIDO’s continued legislative efforts and support of the profession at various levels of government
  • Registered members of ARIDO may participate in the annual ARIDO Awards program
  • Access to Best Practice resources on topics like WSIB, Construction Liens, Copyright and more
  • ARIDO’s monthly e-newsletter: ARIDO Updates
  • Access to local networking and CEU events with the ARIDO Chapters
  • Mentorship opportunities with established designers for Intern members
  • Free posting to the ARIDO Job Board for Members
