The ARIDO Eastern Ontario Chapter is gearing up to bring together the interior design community for an evening of extensive networking opportunities. We’ll take a moment to look back on the significant events of 2023 and wrap up the current chapter before it embarks on a period of transformation.

90th Anniversary ARIDO

For 90 years, ARIDO has aimed to ensure public safety and promote design excellence by regulating Ontario’s Interior Design profession. As we mark this milestone, we extend an invitation to our Eastern Ontario Chapter to celebrate with us.

ARIDO EOC Gatsby Holiday Gala and Silent Auction

Thank you to everyone who joined us at the ARIDO EOC Gatsby Holiday Gala! We want to thank our 2023 Sponsors, Algonquin College BID student volunteers, auction prize donors, as well as our ARIDO EOC subcommittee members. The night was filled with great food and drinks as well as amazing live entertainment by the Jayla Kirkey Musician Quartet and an entertaining live auctioneer from Raising the Bid.

We had our most successful auction which raised $20,000 for the ALS Society of Canada in support of Randy Watt, a well-known individual in our industry. Thank you all for coming!

Register Now: EOC Gatsby Holiday Gala!

Be sure to join the Association of Registered Interior Designers of Ontario, Eastern Ontario Chapter, along with the Ottawa/Gatineau Design and Construction Community to celebrate the Holiday Season, Gatsby Style!

Date and Time: Friday, November 10, 2023, 6pm-11pm
Location: Canadian Museum of History, 100 Laurier Street, Gatineau, QC Paid parking available on site.

This joyous event is not only open to our ARIDO EOC members but also open to the entire community, our industry partners, clients and friends. We invite you to put on your best ‘’roaring 20s’’ and ‘’jazz age’’ attire for an evening of pure enjoyment, reliving the prohibition period with a festive twist.

The Décor, food and cash bar drinks have been carefully curated to tantalize your all of your senses. We will also have a live four-piece band, including the saxophone to jazz up the evening. If you are feeling energetic, take part in the Live Auction for our select, most exclusive prizes and then dance the night away to top 40 tunes.

Our silent auction proceeds will benefit the ALS Canada Research Program in honour of Randy Watt, a long time member of our close-knit business community, who was diagnosed with ALS in November, 2022. The silent and live auction proceeds will be donated to the ALS Society by ARIDO EOC to foster public awareness, fund research and provide support to ALS patients and their families.

Event schedule

6:00pm: arrival, coat check, free welcome drink to the first 89 attendees (89 years since our association was established), bar service begins, browse through the silent auction items.

6:30pm – 10 pm: Appetizer service.

6:30pm – 7:30pm: Live music featuring Jayla Kirkey Musician Quartet

8:00pm – 9:00pm: Live music featuring Jayla Kirkey Musician Quartet

7:00pm: Self-serve food stations

8:30pm – 10:30pm: Dessert stations.

9:30pm: Live Auction Event

9:00pm: Silent Auction closes

10:00pm+: Assortment of music and dance floor opens up

ARIDO’s Eastern Ontario Chapter at Capital Pride!

On August 27th, 2023 the ARIDO-EOC participated in Ottawa’s Capital Pride Parade for the first time. It was a beautiful day filled with joy, laughter, fun, and entertainment from our own local drag queen! EOC Past-President Jeremy Cheff, ARIDO was sashaying and looking incredible in drag!

As ARIDO pushes for equity, diversity, and inclusion, this is sure to be the first of many times we participate and it’s bound to get bigger and better in the coming years.
