Examination Requirements

An ARIDO Intern member who has met the education and experience requirements must complete the final step along the path to becoming a Registered member: examination requirement. As of March 2025, ARIDO will recognize two methods in which candidates can fulfill the examination requirement, the Examination Alternative or the NCIDQ Exams.
ARIDO is in the final stages of development of a Canadian Alternative to meeting the examination requirement in Ontario. The Examination Alternative Project was launched in April 2023 with a survey and information session on this project. The goal is to ensure a fair and equitable path to qualification as an Interior Designer in Ontario.
