Under the leadership of Serina Fraser, Chair of the Provincial Community Leadership Council (PCLC), and the PCLC Members: Justine Baltessen, Lisa Blois, Susan Tienhaara, and Sheri Tuck, ARIDO Communities continue to foster meaningful connections, professional growth, and regional engagement.
Now, we’re looking for passionate volunteers to join us.
Why Volunteer?
ARIDO Communities play an important role in advancing the Association’s strategic priorities and delivering initiatives that support members locally. Community volunteers help bring events and initiatives to life in areas such as:
- Public awareness and advocacy for the profession
- Emerging professionals support and mentorship
- Continuing education opportunities
- Member recognition and scholarships
- Networking and social events
- Community outreach and partnerships
ARIDO Communities are designed to support local members while aligning with ARIDO’s broader strategic goals and priorities.

Community volunteers work alongside ARIDO staff and fellow volunteers to develop initiatives, support sponsorship opportunities, and help deliver regional programming.
Volunteer Commitment
Community volunteers are appointed for a minimum one-year term and may continue following an annual review. Each Community holds monthly meetings, with additional meetings scheduled as needed for specific initiatives. Volunteers participate in discussions, contribute to initiatives, and support activities based on their interests and availability.
- Participating in planning meetings
- Supporting local events and initiatives
- Assisting with sponsorship and outreach efforts
- Contributing ideas and regional perspectives
- Collaborating with ARIDO staff and fellow volunteers

We are especially interested in hearing from individuals who are passionate about creating meaningful experiences and strengthening connections within their region.
