“Roots” highlights historical context and cultural inspiration; “Story,” expresses these roots through art, reflecting Vancouver’s multiculturalism; and “Craft,” translates these narratives into the space’s tangible design. These design narratives informed the choice of materials such as metal, concrete, and wood, reflecting the building’s industrial heritage and mid-century aesthetic.

Honouring the site’s past while seamlessly integrating modern technology and design principles reflect the client’s progressive values. By prioritizing an improved workplace environment with “home-like” breakout and meeting spaces, this shift away from traditional corporate styles promotes collaboration and comfort. The design solution honours the space’s heritage as a former Canada Post facility while incorporating modern needs and technologies. Ultimately, The Post stands as an example of thoughtful design that enriches the community and meets the evolving demands of today’s workforce.
