April 27th: International Design Day

In celebration of International Design Day, ARIDO proudly recognizes the power and purpose of this year’s theme “The Spaces in Between”: thoughtfully designed environments where creativity shapes human connection and shared experiences foster a sense of belonging.

Today, we take a moment to honour the spaces within our four ARIDO Communities, places where ideas are imagined and brought to life, where collaboration sparks innovation and where strangers come together to form vibrant, supportive communities. These are the spaces that remind us that Design is about people, connection, and impact.

In the spirit of celebrating these meaningful “Spaces in Between,” we are thrilled to announce that submissions will be open across all award categories for the 2026 ARIDO Awards Gala, taking place this September. 

This year ARIDO Awards will be celebrating amazing projects by Registered Interior Designers in the following categories: WORK, EAT+STAY, LEARN, CARE, SHOP, GATHER+PLAY, LIVE, LIVE TOGETHER, PRESERVE+RESTORE, DISTINCT, CRAFT, and IMPACT Award.

We look forward to recognizing the outstanding work of our community, celebrating projects that inspire, elevate, and demonstrate the transformative power of Interior Design.
