Speaker Presentation: Finding Purpose in Repurposing: Rebuilding the Workplace Through Circularity

The workplace is evolving. Our buildings are decarbonizing. With furniture contributing up to 30% of the greenhouse gas emissions of a commercial building over its lifecycle, organizations must take a proactive approach to reduce this significant contributor to climate change. This presentation will explore the role of circularity in rebuilding the workplace and demonstrate the economic and environmental powerhouse of reuse & remanufacturing at scale.

Key learning objectives:
• Understand the impact of embodied carbon in interior fit-outs
• Understand the role that office furniture plays in the circular economy
• Learn how to rebuild the workplace through circular procurement strategies
• Learn about organizations closing the loop and maximizing their assets through creative repurposing
